My Story

DJ Mike D brings energy, personality, and purpose to every event he touches.

His story with music started at 19 years old, spinning tracks for friends and family and realizing that the right song at the right moment can change the entire mood of a room. What began as a love for music quickly grew into a career built on connection, creativity, and crowd control in the best way possible.That love for music and storytelling led him into the world of music journalism, where his album reviews reached audiences across the globe. This sharpened his ear, his voice, and his ability to understand what moves people emotionally through sound.

Those skills carried him into radio, where DJ Mike D spent 12 years on the Hot 106 morning show, interviewing top artists, entertaining thousands of listeners daily, and becoming a familiar voice in the community. Radio taught him how to read a room, guide energy, and keep people engaged from start to finish, skills that translate directly to unforgettable events. Alongside his radio career, DJ Mike D built a strong reputation in weddings and private events by working closely with every client to bring their vision to life. No cookie-cutter playlists. No autopilot sets. Every event is crafted with intention, personality, and just the right mix of elegance and fun. 

In addition to weddings and private events, DJ Mike D is also a live sports DJ, bringing excitement and atmosphere to some of the region’s biggest stages. He is the official DJ for Rhode Island FC, Providence College Women’s Basketball, Providence College Men’s Hockey, and Boston College Football. Working in live sports has refined his timing, awareness, and ability to match music perfectly to the emotion of a crowd.
